Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much bone, makes too little bone, or both. As a result, bones become weak and may break.

About 54 million Americans have osteoporosis and low bone mass, placing them at increased risk for osteoporosis. Studies suggest that approximately one in two women and up to one in four men age 50 and older will break a bone due to osteoporosis.- National Osteoporosis Foundation.

We at Innovative have designed a multi-level program consistent with the recommendations of the National Osteoporosis Foundation to assist you in the education, prevention, and management of osteoporosis.

If you have a diagnosis of osteoporosis or osteopenia but are not symptomatic your program will address your posture, body mechanics, balance and strength.  This usually takes 2 visits. For those of you who are experiencing symptoms along with your diagnosis, you will receive an appropriate number of visits to also address your symptoms.
