Pelvic Health

Now offering customizable care for Pelvic health.

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy (PFPT) is a specialty area within physical therapy focusing on the rehabilitation of muscles in the pelvic floor after injury or dysfunction. The pelvic floor consists of nerves, fascia, and three layers of muscles that line the pelvis from the pubic bone to the tailbone and “sit” bones. The pelvic floor supports our organs, stabilizes the low back/pelvis, opens and closes the bowel and bladder, and is important for sexual function. PFPT can be used to address muscle weakness or tightness associated with pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, deconditioning, sexual dysfunction, pain with intercourse and/or trauma. During PFPT, we provide professional support, education, and individualized research-based treatment to assist you in healing your pelvic floor dysfunction, so you can live your best life.
