Telehealth / Virtual Physical Therapy

I tried four physical therapists in six months following emergency back surgery. After four weeks of virutal physical therapy with Lindy, I am back to running and cycling seven days a week completely pain-free.

What is Telehealth physical therapy?

Telehealth therapy is the use of electronic communication, such as live video and audio, to deliver physical therapy services to patients. Our physical therapists can remotely evaluate, assess, and create a plan of care that is best for you through online sessions.

What are the benefits of Telehealth physical therapy?

Online sessions allow our patients to receive their 1:1 physical therapy treatment without having to travel to the clinic. Whether you prefer to do your session from home or want to continue your rehab sessions while you are traveling, telehealth physical therapy will ensure that you don’t miss a beat. Our therapists deliver high quality education, feedback, exercise prescription, progress current physical therapy program, pain management techniques, and can answer any questions that a patient may have.

Is Telehealth physical therapy right for me?

For many, yes, but this can be determined by chatting with your physical therapist about your specific situation and your goals for physical therapy.

Do I need a referral from my physician?

In most cases NO! California is a direct access state, so patients can be treated by a physical therapist without a physician referral for up to 12 visits or 45 days, whichever comes first.   When you call to schedule, we can check for you.

Will my insurance cover Telehealth physical therapy?

Most do! We can review your insurance to ensure that your online sessions are covered by your insurance.

What do I need to attend a Telehealth physical therapy session?

A laptop with a web camera is ideal, but patients can also attend the session through a smartphone, tablet, or ipad. A reliable internet connection is a must. You should also wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move in.
